Chapter One
A howl and a shot
December 2009
Abby was sitting looking out over the snow covered back yard of her house with a nice fire going keeping her warm when she heard a long lonely howl of what sounded like a wolf. Since she had been around dogs most of her life and even some hybrids she could tell the difference. Shortly after the beautiful howl there was a gunshot and a yip that sounded way to close to her back yard and the connecting forest beyond. Her German Shepherd, Brick, started growling and Abby grabbed her boots, parka and most important, the 45 from her purse.
“What do you think you are going to do?” she thinks to herself. The girls are with their grandma for the 2 weeks before Christmas so she was all alone in the huge house she now shared with her 2 daughters and 2 dogs.
“I have to check on the animal and make sure he is okay and stop or at least scare the asshole that thinks he can shoot in my back yard,” she argues back. “Great, now I not only talk to myself but I am answering myself too, I will be calling the men with the padded wagon as soon as I get back from saving the world.”
Out the back yard and through the gate that connected the yard to the forest she noticed paw tracks everywhere. Looking down she realized they are at least twice the size of Bricks tracks and he weighed 150 pounds, shit maybe this wasn’t the best idea she had had. Then she heard the rustling of the bushes up ahead, not knowing if it was the animal or the human with the gun, she chambered a round in her gun and made sure Brick was staying low and with her as they started forward.
About 100 feet up Abby noticed a drop of blood and then Brick’s hackles went up. Abby reached over and placed a calming hand on him while following the tracks into the deep bushes. Finally she heard the low growl of a hurt wild animal and motioned for Brick to stay put, they last thing she needed was to deal with a hurt animal and a protective ass dog. She continued on until she could finally see him, all of him.
“Well big boy, what have you got yourself into?” she asked him as quietly as possible since she still didn’t know where the hunter was. She put her gun in the back of her pants and kneeled down and started to advance while calmly talking to what looked to be twice the size of a large malamute and quite possible a wolf, pure white with silver tips and bright golden eyes. He never growled at her and actually whined a little when she stopped, so she got closer to check the wound that was bleeding into the snow.
“Looks like you took a hit to your back leg. This is going to hurt so let’s not bite me; I need to check if the bullet went through or if it’s still in there.” As if he understood her, he shifted so she could get closer to the wound without moving his leg more then she need to.
“Looks like we have a through and through, but I need to get you back to my house so I can get a bandage on this or you might bleed out. You have to play nice with my dog though, he is here to help.” Just then she heard a branch snap and the wolf started a low growl, shit this was not the best idea Abby had had in her life, she was now between a wounded wolf and a hunter with a gun.
“Shhh,” she said and took off her jacket and used it to cover as much as possible of the wolf, not as if his white silver coat wouldn’t blend in, but hoping to hide the scent of blood. She reached back and was thankful for the familiar feel of the gun in her hand.
“Brick, where are you boy? Come on boy, I know you are scared but come here.” She starting calling out as she walked out of the bushes and Brick started toward her just as two big, scruffy guys dressed in what looked and smelled like dirty oily levis and a couple of leather jackets carrying two very large rifles came into the clearing.
“Lady what the hell are you doing out here? There is a wild dog running around,” the taller of the two men said in a rough voice, but the little voice that Abby had learned to listen too was saying that they were lying and not to be trusted.
“Are you the assholes that shot at my dog?” Abby yelled back. “Not only is he not wild this is my property, who gave you permission to be here, not to mention firing a gun this close to my house. The cops are on their way so you better have a good damn reason for being here.”
“We didn’t shoot at your dog, lady, it was a wolf and I know we hit it so get out of the way so we can find it,” the other guy yelled back with a slur probably due to a couple of missing teeth. Abby thought they both looked like they were on the lower end of the evolutionary ladder but it made Abby even more pissed, not only did they know he was a wolf but they intended on killing him. Not here, not that wolf. She didn’t know why or what was so special about that wolf but she knew she had to keep him safe. So she did the only thing she could she pointed her pistol at them and started yelling back like she was crazy, not a far stretch to go.
“Get the fuck of my property, there are no wolves in Utah but if there was, they are protected. You shoot at my dog, on my property and I will file charges if you are still here when the cops get here. Or I can just claim you tried to shoot me and shoot you both. With the amount of taxes I pay I should have no problem getting away with it.” With that she fired a round right between both of them, admittedly it was hard to miss on purpose but sometimes you just have to play the girl card. Abby could not help the smile that spread across her face as she watched both of them duck and start running. She fired of once more just to make sure they were leaving before she turned back toward where the wolf was.
“Okay, big boy, we need to get you back to the house before they come back and without leaving a blood trail,” she started to say to the wolf as she walked back into the bushes putting the gun behind her back again until she realized he was laying on top of her coat, asleep. She knew there was no way she could lift him so that left dragging him down the small hill and into the yard. Thankfully the door in the back yard lead straight into the basement, stairs would have killed her. Abby grabbed both of the arms and started dragging him out into the clearing watching close for the two shooters.
30 minutes later Abby finally got to the yard, cursing herself the whole way for not minding her own business. The wolf had woke up a couple of times but went right back to sleep and luckily the snow had started coming down hard about 20 minutes earlier covering any tracks going to her yard, but just to be sure she added the paddle lock to the gate when she came through. Once she got into the house and got the wolf settled by the fireplace, she got the fire started up to warm them both and went to set the alarm. Thankful, yet again, for winning the lottery since it allowed her this home as well as a state of the art home security system with motion detector lights, electric line on the top of the fence and night vision cameras that were so clear you could watch the squirrels in the forest running along the branches of the tree line at night. Yeah she knew she didn’t have much of life because she had watched those cute little squirrels doing just that for more nights than she cared to admit.
On her way back Abby grabbed some towels and the first aid kit while hoping like hell the wolf was still out so she could clean the wound. Lucky for both of them the bleeding had stopped on the way down the hill, but it still need to be cleaned. Coming around the corner into the family room she looked over to the fireplace and dropped everything in her hands stopping just short of screaming. The wolf was gone and in its place was very large, very naked man and he was looking right at her.
Chapter Two
Not A good sign
“Please don’t be scared, I will not hurt you, ever,” said the naked man as he looked at Abby with the same golden eyes that the she had seen in the wolf only moments earlier. He then tried to get up only to collapse again, passing out as soon as his weight hit the wounded leg causing the bleeding to start all over again.
“Oh hell, now what,” Abby said out loud. She had read tons of the paranormal romance type books and had always thought how great it would be to have some fine hunk of a man come and rescue her just like in the books. Now all she had was a naked unconscious man bleeding all over her carpet. Yep she should have minded her own damn business. With that thought she bent over picked up all the stuff that she had dropped and started over to bandage a wound on a werewolf, what they hell weren’t they suppose to heal super fast. Abby was pretty sure she got the short end of this paranormal whatever.
One advantage to this new situation was not having to worry about the 2 inch long fangs on the wolf and the tendency of wounded animals to bite anything causing them pain. However; considering he was naked and shot high up on his thigh there was another distraction right there in her line of sight. Maybe not as dangerous but defiantly more distracting and bringing some of those love scenes she had read back to mind. She carefully started to clean the wound and noticed that there was more clear liquid then blood coming out but it smelled like rotten meat already. She knew she needed to wake him up and talk to him about this because he needed a doctor but common sense told her that she can’t take him to a normal hospital and she was pretty sure her vet wasn’t qualified to work on a werewolf. So Abby covered the wound with gauze and taped it on, added more wood to the fire, grabbed a blanket off the couch and covered him then finally sat down on the other end of the couch to think or at least try to breath.
All the legends, myths and stories started going through Abby’s mind as well as what writers have added to the mythology and her head was spinning with questions. The person she needed to ask however; was finally in a restful sleep on her floor and not able to answer any questions, so she decided to get a note book and start writing down her thoughts. Who knew if she would ever get another chance to ask a werewolf if everything she thought were fairy tales were real so she didn’t want to forget anything. As she got up the alarm panel started sounding so she ran to the control board to see what was going on now suddenly craving her quite boring life.
The two men who had shoot the wolf earlier were back with four more men that looked like they all shopped for clothes at the local Jiffy Lube garbage can and they had four more guns. They were searching around the clearing and down toward her fence, but she knew the snow should have covered any trace of where they had gone and for once she was glad that there were other houses out here even if they were a distance away. She hopped that the first two guys hadn’t noticed where she came from before they tucked tail and ran. Brick and her other dog Shiloh, a small mixed mutt, came up and started to pace by the back door. Abby was glad that all the lights were off upstairs and that it was really hard to see the downstairs windows from that far back due to the landscaping. Abby sat and watched these six men looking right at her house as though they knew she was in there with the one they were looking for.
“They can’t smell me, if you are worried that they are tracking you through me.” Abby jumped not expecting to hear anyone and since neither one of the dogs even reacted to the man now wrapped in the blanket she figured he wasn’t a threat, or at least not the biggest one she had right now.
“I was more worried that the snow hadn’t covered all the tracks from me pulling you in and they were looking for that. I am just watching because they have a lot of fire power out there and your leg is proof that they are willing to use it.” Abby responded without taking her eyes of the many screens. “Do you know any of these men or why they want you died?”
“Yes, I know three of them,” he pointed to the 2 that had shot him and one of the new men. “I am not sure why they want me dead for positive, but I have a good idea.”
“And that would be what?” Abby said trying not to sound as frustrated as she was feeling since the men were now right on the other side of her back fence.
“I am the alpha of the local wolf pack. My name is Draco Van Ness, but please call me Drake”
“I’m Abby, nice to meet you. Can you quickly tell me why you were outside my back yard, why there are six men outside my back yard right now with six guns that I can see probably more, and what we can do to get rid of them?”
“The short story is, these two men,” Drake pointed to the two men that shot him, “Josh and Jake, are half breed wolves that cannot shift. They are the nephews of the former alpha. The other man I recognize, Leo from Denver, who has set forth a challenge for leadership. This is set for the full moon in a little over two weeks. If I die between now and then he wins by default since his challenge was formal but he can be challenged by any member of the pack. If I am just wounded or weak and he wins it is still a win and he cannot be challenge for one year. The other three men I don’t know but by the way they are moving I would guess that they are wolves as well and probably sent from Denver also. The Alpha there wanted to take over the pack before I did, but stood down afterwards.”
“Okay, so why are they all standing in the forest behind my house, and why were you there to begin with?”
“That is not as short of a story. I use to run here before I lead the pack; it has always been a quite place for me to think. About 3 months ago while I was out running I came across the scent of another wolf that was unfamiliar to me, so I started tracking him. The only reason I can think that these guys are out there, is me. They must have followed me today.”
“You said that they cannot trace your smell, why? I thought wolves could track anything.”
“Most wolves can but for some genetic reason I have no scent when I am a wolf. That’s what makes the fact that you found me such a shock, it was not your dog that lead you to me was it?”
“No, I think he was reacting to the men. I seen a drop of blood and followed that in to the bushes after you. If they cannot smell you, then what the hell are they doing out there?”
“I don’t know, but if I can use your phone to call my second he will bring the pack enforcers down here and have them take the trash out, I should call them anyways since my bodyguard has no idea where I am.” Just then a seventh man walked into view and Drake started going off in a language Abby didn’t know but it did not sound like he was happy to see him.
“Who is that?”
“Kean, he is the packs top enforcer and the brother to our packs other two enforcers.”
“So I think taking out the trash or at least dealing with them is going to fall to us. What would they do if the normal police showed up?” Abby was thinking that following through with her original threat might help get rid of them for a little while and give them time to talk and think of something else.
“The pack law is to co-operate with humans always and to follow human laws so there is no attention brought to the pack, why, what are you thinking?”
“The two main guys acted scared when I brought up the cops before so I was thinking of following through with my threat. Well the one to call the cops, obviously I didn’t shoot them.”
“That’s a good idea, how long will it take for them to get here?”
With a quick frantic call and four minutes later Abby stood upstairs on her front porch talking to the sergeant while four other officers were in back of her yard talking the two original men who didn’t get away. A few lies and acting very afraid got all both of the men arrested for trespassing; firing a weapon in the city limits and anything else they could think of, according to the sergeant. He was very reassuring that the men would be held for a minimum of four days before seeing a judge and maybe longer if they lost the paperwork. Abby thanked all the officers for their quick response and went back inside, locking the door and setting the alarm again. As she turned around she came smack into Drake’s bare chest and remembered that this night was far from over.
“One crisis down, now you need to start talking so I can try to understand what the hell is going on. First you need to sit down so you don’t start bleeding again. Come on.” Abby said stepping back from Drake and trying to breath. She lead him into the upstairs front room and over to the couch. She went into the kitchen thinking that a beer sounded really good but settled for two glasses of water. Drake was watching her as she walked back into the front room and handed him a glass.
“What, why are you watching me it’s not as if I am going to shift it to anything?”
“I keep waiting for you to lose it and go into shock. After all you have seen me shift, witnessed the worst of werewolf politics and on top of that I was shot and you took care of it. Face it Abby most people would not handle things this calmly.”
“I had my freak out time while you were passed out and before those guys showed back up. Now I am tired, confused and worried about what is going to happen next. Besides I want the long story of werewolf politics and everything else because obviously you are not a myth. First tell me why your wound was leaking clear fluid instead of blood and smelled rotten, I thought one of the perks of being a werewolf was supposed to be quick healing or is that a lie.”
“The clear fluid is our body’s way to heal wounds. It is full of antibodies and pushes out any bad blood and tissue, that’s why it smells. We do heal quickly and the shift normally makes it even faster but the bullet damaged my deep tissue muscle so it will take a little longer to heal. I can walk on it now and in about a week you won’t be able to tell at all. As for all the other myths you asked about it would be easier for you to ask and I will answer since there are more lies then truth out there where we are concerned.”
“Okay, biting someone turns them into a werewolf?”
“Yes and no, if the person is a mate or if they have some genetic link to a were then yes, it can turn them, but otherwise no. However; if a were is caught biting someone against their wishes, they are put to death. It is the only way to try and keep our secrets.”
“Harsh but I can understand the reasoning behind it. I know that wolfs mate for life and since you brought up the mate thing, how does it work for weres? Also I guess that you are not controlled by the moon since you were shot as a wolf and there is no moon.”
“True, the moon does not rule our change, however; we do usually meet around the full moon and run as a pack since weres tend to get grumpy at that time and running calms them. After puberty any were can shift at will, if they are not pure blooded they won’t shift until they are at least twenty if at all. The mate thing does work like a true wolf, we mate for life and once that oath is taken, the male can never stray and I have been told the female has a hard time allowing another to touch her without feeling pain. If one mate is killed the other will live but never feel whole again and generally die within a couple of years.”
“Well I guess the not being able to cheat slows down most men from making that oath.” Abby said with more disgust in her voice then she had planned. You could say she held a little bit of anger toward men and their lack of zipper control when in the company of other females.
“We take the oath very seriously and we all hope to find our mate. You have no idea how hard it is to go through hundreds of years missing the most important part of yourself. Watching other couples that have been lucky enough to have found their mates being so calm and content all the time. Yes we have sex but without our mates there is no complete release for either male or female werewolves.” Abby could feel the distress coming of him and could not stop herself from reaching out to comfort him.
“I am sorry. I have a lot of issues when it comes to relationships and men cheating. I did not mean to hurt your feelings or make less of your mating.” Abby felt Drake’s tension release, but something else deep down started to stir and pay attention. “Did you say hundreds of years, just how long do you live?”
And with the sparkle back in Drake’s eyes he simply said, “Guess.”
“You don’t look much older than me so I would say 35.”
“If I look so close to your age, does that mean you would consider dating me even if I am slightly older then you think?”
“I don’t date, but I did save your ass so you have to tell me.”
“You don’t date? I know that there is no regular man in your life,” with that statement Abby snorted. “I have a very good nose and I know that no one has had sex in this house for months, maybe longer. I also told you I have been tracking a lone wolf in the area for the last 3 months so I know that the only visitors you get are from the FedEx guy, the older woman who took your 2 daughters yesterday and the asshole that stands out front and argues with you over money he thinks he is entitled to but never asks about the girls so he can’t be their father even though the oldest smells like him but the younger one does not. By the way I can smell how aroused you are right now but I can also smell the mistrust and fear you have but like I stated before, I will never harm you, Abby.”
Shocked would be an understatement to how Abby felt after the great revelation concerning her sex life and visitor history if not for the fact that he was dead on and she was very turned on by this man. “Yeah your right, I don’t date, I don’t have sex and the only person I trust around me or my girls is their grandmother. The man is my ex-husband and he thinks he is owed money from my lottery winnings. He is the father to my oldest daughter. She was born one year after we were married. My best friend was killed three years ago, two weeks after she had her daughter and I was left to raise her. I came home early from her funeral and found my husband in my bed with some girl he had met at the gas station. Later I found out that for the last 8 years he had slept with anyone he could, that wasn’t married to him that is. Now that we have gone over my life, Drake how old are you?’
“One hundred and fifty years old on the last summer solstice,” Drake said and watched as Abby’s mouth dropped. “And to top that off, my love, you are my mate.” With that Drake stood up leaving the blanket on the couch and started putting more wood on the fire like he had just said the sky was blue. Abby sat there not sure what had shocked her most, the thought this man was older then dirt and hotter than hell itself, the fact that he was naked in front of her stoking the fire or that he thought they were mates. Then she watched as Drake walked over to the kitchen counter and motioned to the phone, all she could do in response was nod her head. As he stood there with his back to her she noticed scarring from his shoulder blades down to his ankles. Without thinking Abby stood and walked over to him and started tracing each one on his shoulders. Drake stopped and turned to look at her taking her hand in his.
“I have not been Alpha all my life, love. One day I will tell you of the horrors of my past, but first we need to deal with the horrors going on now. I am going to call my beta and my bodyguard, is it okay if they come here so we can all talk about what is going on and the best way to deal with things?”
“If you think it’s safe, that’s fine. I worry that if your enforcer is involved, how many others from your pack are as well?” Abby felt Drake’s growl start down deep even though it was quiet it raised the hairs on her arms. “I am not saying that everyone is involved, Drake, just that some probably are. Stop and think who the enforcers talk to most, who they hang out with, turn to in need of help. Those are the people who I would not contact right now. Regardless if they know what he is up to, they may think you are in need of help and contact him anyway.” Drake looked at her and for the first time realized that even though she was young, she had lived her own horrors.
“It scares me that you would have this much mistrust in you, and it scares me even more that this situation calls for that much mistrust. You are right, however; my bodyguard is not only my oldest friend but came here with me from Alaska over fifty years ago and I do trust her with my life.” That sent Abby’s hackles up. The thought that he would trust some other woman with his life pissed her off, and that surprised her. Abby tried to pull away from him, not wanting to give away her feelings. “She is more like my sister than anything else, love. She was the one who saved me from the horrors that left the scars on my back. Her family helped hide me as much as possible from hunters long before your parents were born. Our relationship is truly based on trust and friendship only. Is it still okay to call them?” Abby pulled her hand away and walked away, not sure if she trusted herself enough to answer him. She walked into her room and closed the door before sitting down on her bed. She must have sat there for twenty minutes before Drake walked in and kneeled down in front of her.
“I don’t understand what is going on with me. I know I had a lot of shock today, but I never react with jealousy. I am sorry Drake, I understand she is your friend, but for some reason it hurts. I don’t even know you and here I am getting hurt over something so stupid, we just meet and you probably have your own life you want to get back to. Go call your friends so they can help you, I will be fine.”
“I can explain it to you, if you are ready to listen to the fact we are mates.”
Drake patiently waited until Abby acknowledged what he had said and looked into his eyes and nodded.
“I did smell a wolf in the forest about 3 months ago, but I did not keep coming back to find him. I do not like that a lone wolf is watching your house, but I will keep track of him and when he is ready to come in I will help him. I saw you and the girls collecting pine cones and I knew, that day, you were my mate. I could smell you and the longer I watched the more in love I feel. Every time you had to deal with your ex, you were strong and firm but never mean. You watched over the girls like a mother wolf, always knowing where they were and what they were doing; allowing just enough freedom for them to grow but not enough to get hurt, always so sure of yourself and what you were doing. Watching how you were with both of your dogs I thought that coming in as a wolf would be the easiest way to your heart, since you don’t like men. I was going to come in the back yard before I got shoot. I was so focused on seeing you that I didn’t hear or smell the men until it was too late, and then you came for me. Only a mate would have done that. You tracked me, protected me and brought me into your home the whole time thinking I was a wild wolf. You then protected the man in front of you again from seven men with guns, you have bathed my wound and dressed it, but most importantly you have yet to ask me to leave. Abby from what I have seen in the last three months, none of this is normal for you. The mention of another woman has you so jealous you can feel it in your soul, am I right?” Again all Abby could do was nod her head not sure if she could speak but more afraid of what she would say if she did.
“This is normal for mates that have not completed all the stages of mating. You did not notice how angry I was when you were outside talking to the police. The sergeant wanted you to invite him in and was disappointed when you did not. I bet he will be back tomorrow to check on you again and see if he can get to know you better. How do you think I had enough strength to get up those stairs? Pure jealousy. There are other signs for women but I don’t know them, tomorrow when Dawn is here I will ask her to explain things to you if you want.”
“Tomorrow, I thought you were going to call them now?” Abby asked with a soft voice. Man she hated how she sounded right now but this was so far out of her comfort zone she didn’t know what to think or do.
“I think you are more important than calling them and dealing with our feelings needs to be done now, because I can’t stand the fear that is coming off your right now.” With that Drake stood up giving Abby a great view of his assets and confirming that he was just as interested in her, she just wasn’t sure she could handle all of him. He took her hand and helped her stand up, as she looked up, way up, their eyes met followed by their lips.
At first the kiss was timid making sure that it was what they both wanted. His lips were soft but full of promise. Abby was hesitant at first holding back ever so slightly until Drake pulled back. Abby opened her eyes and looked at him and it was as though a flood gate opened in her mind because all she could think of was riding this man for the rest of her life. She reached up grabbing Drake around the neck and pulling him to her and down to the bed. Drake landed with his weight going on one arm and rolled to the side slightly, not wanting to hurt Abby. She kept rolling him over until she was straddling him, the only thing separating them was a pair of sweat pants but they were soaking wet.
“I think you are way over dressed for this my love.” Drake said as his hands worked their way up under her shirt, stopping once he got to the bottom of her bra because he was not sure Abby was okay with all of this. As Abby looked down and she saw the need in his eyes and she couldn’t have stopped if she had wanted to. Determined to deal with whatever fall out might happen from this tomorrow, she reached down and took off her shirt, followed by her bra.
“So perfect my love, everything about you is so perfect.” Each hand was overflowing with her large breast as she bent down for him to suckle them.
“Oh god, that feels so good” Abby was become wetter as seconds passed by and finally Drake took over since her brain was tied up with trying to remember to breath and he rolled her back over resting on his good leg. He kissed his way from her breast down her stomach to the top of her sweats. He started licking around the band and pulling on them with his teeth.
“For hells sake, take them off already, please Drake.” Abby begged. No sooner than the words left her lips, her sweats were on the floor and the real begging began. Drake looked down at a very trimmed, wet pussy in need of attention from the one man who could make her come over and over. He parted the swollen lips with his tongue and started a slow dance on her hard nub. Feeling her hands reaching for his head he grabbed both in one hand and held them firm. With his other hand he started penetrating her sheath one finger at a time, wishing it was his hard shaft instead but knowing it was going to take a lot of work before he would fit. Between his tongue and his two fingers she had her first orgasm within minutes and was begging for Drake to stop.
“Stop, my love we are just getting started. That is but one of so many orgasms that you will lose count before I stop and let you rest.” With that he spread her open wider and licked from her anus to her nub in one hard quick motion which almost sent her over the edge again. Then he slid two fingers back in deep that was quickly followed by a third. That did it and she was coming again pulling loose from Drake’s hand and his grasp. She managed to work her way to the top of her bed but when she looked down at Drake, she was met with hungry wild eyes and suddenly she knew what a rabbit felt like, Dinner.
“Where are you going, love. I was not done with my snack yet.”
“Yeah but I was done being the appetizer. If you want more come get it, but no more teasing. I haven’t had sex in 5 years, I want and need to feel you inside me know, Drake, please.” How could he ignore the needs of his mate, after all she had finally said that she needed him what more could he ask for? He crawled up the bed until he was over her completely and looked down into her eyes. He leaned down and kissed her with all the promise of what was to come. Abby slowly spread her legs to make room between them for him, but to her surprise he pulled her on top of him as he rolled over.
“Ride me so I don’t hurt you.”
“Maybe I changed my mind and now I want an appetizer instead.” With that said Abby took his hard rod in her hands and started to stroke it with a firm hand and started to slide down his body but Drake pulled her to a stop. “I will lose all control if you do that Abby, and I won’t be able to go slow, please don’t push it.”
“Okay, but I will get to later.” As Drake pulled her back up she lifted up on her knees. Drake took his cock in his own hands and spread her pussy lips again and slowly started to slide it in as Abby started to come down. Slowly she worked two to three inches in at a time only to stop and come back up. Going back down and getting another two inches in. It took a good two minutes before all of Drake was in her, but it felt like heaven once he was. She started to ride him slowly but quickly lost all sense of rhythm, he felt too good. Drake finally took control with his hands on her hips and he worked her up and down until her next orgasm hit. Only then did he flip her over and truly take over.
“Harder, Drake I need more of you.” Abby couldn’t believe she was telling him that, but it was true. She needed to feel him deep inside her, pumping his seed deep in her. It was not as though she could get pregnant and for the first time in ten years she was sad about that fact. Oh well, more things to deal with tomorrow for now she was in heaven with a man she was afraid to admit she had feelings for. With each deep thrust the feeling in her heart and womb kept growing and strangely her need to bite him was there as well.
“Drake, why do I want to bite your neck so bad?”
“Oh heaven, Abby Yes!”
Abby had never bit someone in bed or anywhere else for that matter. She liked her sex a little rough at times and she had been known to get a little loud, but she had never crossed that line. Regardless, here she was wanting nothing more than the feel of his flesh in between her teeth, a need that she did not understand but she went with it any ways. She pulled Drake’s head down and licked the side of his neck. She could almost feel the vein pulsing under her teeth. Without a second thought she bit, and her muscles started contracting against his hard shaft that was buried inside her. She finally felt wanted, loved and needed and if it only lasted tonight she would deal with that tomorrow as well.
Drake couldn’t believe it, she really was his mate. He had smelled it, had felt the change but until he was inside her and had the reaction and need to mark her he had had doubts. He never thought that the Fates had made anyone for him, with everything he had been taught and lived through in his life he didn’t dare think there was one made just for him but here she was responding to him. With that last thought running through his mind he felt her small teeth bite down on his neck.
“Harder, baby. Bite me harder” he growled back knowing he was losing it. As soon as her teeth broke through his skin he felt the hardest orgasm he had ever had start and he bent his head down further taking her soft skin at the base of her neck in his mouth and bit. Tasting her blood sent him over the cliff and he was never so happy to feel the fall. Completely exhausted Drake lay next to Abby, pulling her into his arms and savoring the sound of her hard breathing knowing that he had satisfied her completely.
“There are things we still need to talk about love.” Drake said once he could breathe and think.
“Tomorrow, we can deal with everything in the morning, please. I don’t think I can take one more thing tonight.” And with that Abby started to slip into a comfortable sleep as she felt Drake’s arms tighten around her. She knew tomorrow would bring a lot of changes to her life, but for now, in this room, in his arms, she was safe and happy and so sated she could do nothing but fall asleep.
